Autism in the spotlight

A major conference into autism, a lifelong development disability, is being held in Douglas today (Wednesday) .

Its hosted by The National Autistic Society, the U.K.'s leading autism charity.
Delegates will hear a wide range of issues from diagnosis through education, and behavioural interventions and on to the factors that affect teenagers and adults with autism.

Currently the Island is developing care in the area, with the development of a strategic framework for autism education provision on the Island.

It is being led by the Department of Education in collaboration with the Isle of Man NAS Branch.
