Artist gets royal rebuff

The artist whose acclaimed sculptures adorn the Erin Arts Centre and the sunken gardens in Douglas, has described the incident in which the Queen rebuked him.

Michael Sandle (pictured) was speaking on Manx Radios 'Sunday Opinion' programme yesterday (Sunday).

He is currently at the centre of controversy over a portrait of Tony and Cherie Blair standing naked outside 10 Downing Street (pictured).

Although he was at first hesitant to describe the royal incident, Roger Watterson was able to persuade him to relate it:
