Sports Centre set to expand

Tynwald has agreed to hand over a piece of land in Douglas, which will allow for the expansion of a well used sports facility.

Members supported a motion from the Minister for Education, Anne Craine, to sell an area measuring 25 by 14 metres to the Unified Sports Centre Limited, for a nominal fee.

It will enable the charity to extend its gymnasium at the rear of the Ian Bradshaw Centre, on Glencrutchery Road.
