Inquiry into potential transmitter risks

The Acting Director of Public Health, Dr Parameshwaran Kishore, is to head an investigation into the potential health risks posed by mobile phone transmitters.

The masts have been the subject of much debate recently and there was much public concern about the siting of three on a doctor's surgery in Onchan.

The official line is the radiation emitting from them is of no threat to the public, but the working group will try to find out for definite.

Dr Kishore thinks that'll be difficult, but not impossible (audio file attached):
