Runway run for charity

You're being encouraged to get involved in a unique fundraising event, organised by the Rotary Club of Douglas.

The Runway Run will be held on the main landing strip at Ronaldsway on the evening of the 30th of June, once the last plane has landed.

Those who take part will pay ?5 to run, race walk or stroll the 4km, with all money raised going to the Rotary Club's charity of choice.

Riders For Health supplies and maintains motorbikes for nurses in Africa, so they can reach remote communities.

The club's International Committee Chairman, Wayne Tomlinson, felt the charity was an appropriate one:
