Lib Vans want Select Committee

Onchan MHK Peter Karran (pictured, left) is asking Tynwald to look again at the Isle of Man's user agreement with the Steam Packet Company.

He wants a Select Committee to be set up - to exmaine whether what is effectively a monopoly for the Steam Packet, is still in the Island's best interests.

He'll be supported by fellow Liberal Vannin MHK Bill Malarkey.

In last night's Agenda programme David Callister asked Mr Malarkey whether he expected Tynwald to go along with the plan:
