Homelessness an island wide problem

A man who makes regular use of the new day-time drop-in centre on Broadway in Douglas says people who don't recognise the Island's homeless problem are 'walking around with their eyes shut'.

John, as he asked to be called, says he knows dozens of people in the Douglas area alone who often don't have a roof over their heads.

He claims many people, including himself, are forced to live in squats, and are often moved on by the police.

And he is offering this advice to the Island's homeless:
