Melanoma Awareness Week

by isleofman.com 19th June 2007
It's been described as the 'disease of the 21st century'.

One in 50 people will get it and a quarter of them will die.

It's Melanoma Awareness Week, and Isle of Man residents are being urged to wise-up to the symptoms and the vital need for early diagnosis.

Harry Townsend set up Britain's first Melanoma charity in the name of his late wife Myfanwy who died of the disease.
