Mediator talks at PAG meeting

by isleofman.com 18th June 2007
An expert mediator has been brought to the Isle of Man to speak at a meeting of the Positive Action Group this evening (Monday).

Frank Hanna, who's dealt with over 2000 cases, says mediation services can provide a swift and more cost-effective way of resolving disputes, than going to court.

A Legal Services Commission report, laid before last month's sitting of Tynwald, recommended introducing an independent service to the Island, principally to solve domestic issues.

Mr Hanna says mediation offers a very different approach to arbitration:

Dr Hanna's talk, 'Mediation, the Easier Way to Conflict Resolution', starts at 730pm at the Claremont Hotel on Douglas promenade.
