Police appeal after Mountain accident

by isleofman.com 16th June 2007
Police are renewing their appeal for witnesses to a serious accident on the Snaefell mountain road.

Two people were seriously injured when their cars collided head on near the 33rd milestone, between Windy Corner and Kate's Cottage, late on Friday afternoon.

The road was closed for five hours for emergency services to deal with the incident and for clearing up operations.

A man from Kirk Michael, who was driving a red Renault, is said to be improving, while the other casualty, a Douglas woman who drove a silver Mitsubishi is in a serious but stable condition.

Anyone who can help police is asked to ring headquarters on 631212.
