Disabled Workshop report

The Manx Workshop for the Disabled is facing a major upheaval as it prepares to move to new premises.

The facility has weathered some worrying times this year, with its entire future in doubt.

Questions over funding and premises sparked wide controversy and the report of a Tynwald select committee, set up to look into the issues, goes before the Court next week.

The DHSS eventually agreed to cover the cost of refurbishing new premises at the Old Noble's Hospital.

Chairman of the Workshop Deemster Jack Corrin says the facility has proved its worth during TT:
