'Reading Race' starts next month

by isleofman.com 12th June 2007
The Department of Education's Family Library is getting ready for its summer reading scheme.

The theme this year, 'Born to be Wild - Reading Race', was inspired by the Centenary TT celebrations.

The reading race starts on July 7 when children aged six and over will be challenged to get to five stages around a TT course map, on display in the library, by reading the corresponding number of books.

Those taking part must sign on before July 3.

A summer drawing competition is also being held for those under the age of six.

That competition runs to September 3.

More information is availale from the library on 673123.
