Minister says TT safety is improving

It's thought around 60,000 people visited the Isle of Man over the TT centenary fortnight, well over 10,000 more than optimistic estimates just before the event.

The figure puts into some sort of context the relatively low number of serious accidents, until the tragic deaths of three people on the final day of racing.

The authorities will now look in detail at how to improve crowd safety around the course and implement new measures next year.
