Chief Scout visits Island

The Chief Scout in the United Kingdom and Overseas Territories says he believes young people today have great freedom, but face increasing pressures.

Former Blue Peter presenter Peter Duncan was visiting the Isle of Man as the scout movement and the TT enjoyed their centenary celebrations.

Scouts have been involved with the races since the early days and volunteers from the movement still operate the iconic scoreboard at the grandstand

Mr Duncan says teenagers have always been, and will always be, rebellious but scouting can help channel their energies:
