Dead rider named

The organisers of the TT have released the name of the rider who died in an incident on the final lap of today's Senior race, in which two spectators also lost their lives.

He was 34 year old Mark Ramsbotham, a married man from Norfolk.

Mr Ramsbotham, a first time TT competitor, was an HGV and plant fitter.

Police aren't expected to name the two spectators who died until tomorrow at the earliest.

Two other people injured in the incident are recovering in Noble's Hospital.

The accident happened at the 26th Milestone, on the mountain section of the course.
