Manx economy on track

There's further evidence of the strength of the Manx economy this morning.

Despite job losses at several high profile firms in recent months, unemployment in the Island continues to fall.

Latest figures show 1.4% of the economically active population - 569 people - were without work at the end of May. That's 55 down on the previous month.

And the Job Centre had details of almost 800 vacancies during May - the highest figure for several years.

Treasury Minister Allan Bell (pictured) says the latest figures are a big confidence-booster:
