Break in at Bee Gee's home

by isleofman.com 5th June 2007
Several people are helping police with their inquiries after an incident at Bee Gee Robin Gibb’s Peel home yesterday.

An intruder broke into the house at 1am, hours after Robin had played at the Peel Bay Festival.

The man was one of several people who drove into the grounds through a deactivated security gate.

He climbed inside through a window and began shouting. He was asked to leave and the police were called.

Jason Roberts reports (text from attached audio file):

Although Robin’s family were inside, the Bee Gee had already left the Island to go to a concert in Germany.

The man who broke in shouted that he had been sent by 'Suggs' before running away and leaving with the rest of the group.

Robin’s family, who were in the house at the time, are said to be shocked by the incident and police are now investigating.

Several people have been arrested although no charges have been announced by officers yet.
