Back Door Slam storm America

Local blues rock band Back Door Slam say supporting The Who at the Peel Bay Festival has been one of the high points of their fast-blossoming career.

The band looks set to become one of the Isle of Man's greatest musical exports.

They went down a storm during their recent tour of America - so much so, they're preparing to go back to the States, with their new album available to Manx fans first at a Gaiety Theatre gig on Saturday.

Playing in front of over 6000 rock fans in Peel has given the boys a taste of the big time.

But front man Davy Knowles (pictured) admits stepping onto stage was a nail-biting experience:
