Harbour warning from police

by isleofman.com 4th June 2007
Police, coastguards and harbour officials searched the inner harbour area in Douglas this morning, after two people were seen to enter the water and not re-emerge.

The search lasted for about 90 minutes, before it was established those concerned were safe and well.

Authorities say no action will be taken against them, but the incident is a reminder of the danger of swimming in harbour areas, particularly when alcohol is involved.

The two people were both visitors to the Island.
