So it is now Mountain closed 10-30am, rest of the course 11am and the superbikes away at 11-45am.

Meanwhile the TT organisers' plan to get top coverage for the centenary festival is paying big dividends in particular putting journalists on the back of Milky Quayle bike for a high speed circuit.

Milky's continuing to get the cream of the coverage, this morning in the Daily Telegraph Jim White is the latest hack to experience the silky comforts of the Quayle pillion.

'Edge of the seat drama with fearless TT veteran' is how he sees the result.
'It is the most extraordinary free sporting spectacle, like the Tour De France', he ruminates, 'but without the cheats. Or the London marathon without the guy dressed as Elvis'.

He concludes 'in our health and safety obsessed age, where the speed camera is king, we should be glad the TT remains an oasis of utter recklessness'.

It is a place where all that matters, as Guy Martin so eloquently put it "is what is in your trousers".

After a lap with Milky, Jim White ruminates, 'it really would not have been pleasant to investigate what was in mine'.
