Keys today

It is business as usual for the House of Keys today.

13 questions are on the order paper, eight for oral answer and 5 for written reply, with subjects ranging from the Isle of Man Draft Strategic Plan to the early release of prisoners.

The Education and Enterprise bills, are up for second reading

And the Constitution and Income tax (Amendment) bills will be scrutinised further at the Clauses stage.

North Douglas MHK Bill Henderson has two question for Trade and Industry Minister David Cretney, about the International Hotel School.

He wants to know how many local businesses have been affected by its closure, how many are owed money and what the DTI plans to do to help them.

Michael MHK David Cannan has a question for Mr Cretney on the state of and future prospects for the Isle of Man film industry.

Mr Cannan will also ask Chief Minister Tony Brown to extend the public consultation period on the Draft Strategic Plan to the end of July.
