Centenary TT ready to go!

by isleofman.com 25th May 2007
Welcome to TT 2007!

That’s the message from Tourism Minister Adrian Earnshaw as the centenary event kicks off this weekend.

He says a huge deal of effort and work has gone into organising this year’s festival and he’s looking forward to a busy fortnight.

Mr Earnshaw (pictured) has a special message for those who have arrived on the Island for the celebrations and racing (audio file attached):

The Mountain Road is due to be closed from 9.30 to 11.30 on Saturday morning, while the organisers set up signage, and the first practice session will be on Saturday evening. The Mountain Road will close at 5pm and the rest of the course an hour later.

Saturday evening also sees the first of three days of racing on the Billown circuit in the south of the Island, with roads closed from 6.05 to 9.35pm.
