Island preserves proud poppy record

The Royal British Legion is thanking the Manx public for preserving the Island’s proud record in the annual poppy collection.

A last minute appeal was launched earlier this week as the Island fell behind its target with two days remaining.

However, a ?1,000 donation from Chrystals has kept the Isle of Man at the forefront nationally, by raising a total of ?81,364.

The Island has enjoyed tremendous success in raising more money, per head of population, than any other county in the British Isles.
