More goverment help for Rhodes trip

by isleofman.com 23rd May 2007
The Manx government has stepped in with a ?25,000 grant to help get the Isle of Man's Island Games team to Rhodes.

Competitors faced increased costs after the last minute collapse of an aircraft charter deal, which left a ?30,000 funding gap.

It brings the total support from government for the trip to almost ?80,000.

A team of 220 competitors and officials is due to fly to the Greek Island at the end of next month.
