TT popularity to be examined

by isleofman.com 23rd May 2007
The longevity of the TT races will be explored at a conference being held during the festival.

The three day event will be staged at the Villa Marina from Monday May 28, on the theme 'Isle of Man TT Races - Heritage, Place and Spirit'.

It's being organised by Director of the Motorcycle Research Unit at the University of Hudderfield, Geoff Crowther.

He says academics, historians, racers, media and fans will discuss why the races are so popular, and what the future holds for them (audio file attached):
