CPA 'ineffective' - Moffatt

The Commonwealth Parliamentary Association is a disreputable body and the Isle of Man should have nothing to do with it.

So says Director of Information at the Celtic League, Bernard Moffatt, who is speaking out after Home Affairs Minister Martyn Quayle attended a CPA meeting in Belfast recently.

Mr Moffatt (pictured) says the body is ineffective and does very little practical work.

He also claims Manx delegates to CPA gatherings are simply taking a glorified holiday.

Mr Moffatt says many CPA countries are corrupt and have poor human rights records, and the Island shouldn’t send people to its meetings:
