No extended Keys broadcasts yet

by isleofman.com 23rd May 2007
A move to extend broadcasting of the House of Keys to cover full sittings was narrowly defeated yesterday.

Members voted eleven for and eleven against, but with the casting decision, the Speaker voted to maintain the status quo.

Speaking as MHK for Castletown and not Chief Minister, Tony Brown, wanted full sittings to be broadcast from October this year:

Mr Brown rejected the idea of gauging public interest before rolling out the plans:

Members were debating a report, which recommended that such a move should wait until the introduction of digital broadcasting.

This was also defeated.
