A new block of public sector housing has been opened in Douglas.
Tynwald Court apartments were officially opened by the Mayor of Douglas, Councillor Colin Cain and MHK Juan Watterson, Chairman of Estates and Housing for the Department of Local Government and the Environment.
The development in Tynwald Street, Douglas, consists of 22 two bedroom apartments with video entry systems, central heating and double glazing. Six of them have walk in showers
The apartments have been built to accommodate older residents in the community, including some who previously occupied larger properties such as those in Hillside Avenue.
