Fluoridation debated again

by isleofman.com 17th May 2007
The Manx public has the opportunity to hear the arguments against adding fluoride to the Island's water supply at a public meeting tomorrow (Friday) night.

The Isle of Man Campaign for Non-Fluoridated Tap Water has brought over Doctor Paul Connett, an expert in environmental chemistry and toxicology from St. Lawrence University, to give a talk.

Campaign representative, Greeba Skinner, says there are a number of reasons for not doing it, including the idea it's "mass medication": (first audio clip)

The meeting takes place at 7.30 tomorrow (Fri) evening at the Loch Promenade Church in Douglas. Entry is free and all are welcome.

DHSS Public Health Consultant, Dr Paul Emerson, is for adding flouride to the Island's water: (second audio clip)
