Care contractor quits

by isleofman.com 16th May 2007
The Island’s foster care contractor says it’s pulling out of the Island because of irreconcilable differences with social services.

FosterPlus, which has offices across the UK, says it handed in its notice in October last year after twelve months of difficulties.

Currently, the organisation looks after almost fifty children in around 40 foster families – the responsibility for these will be taken over by the DHSS.

FosterPlus Director Paul Snell says the company feels it can’t work with the government any longer.
