Ramsey marina discussions

by isleofman.com 15th May 2007
Discussions are underway which could lead to the eventual development of a marina in Ramsey.

A consultation group, hosted by director of harbours, Captain Mike Brew, has been formed and comprises representatives from a variety of bodies, including Ramsey MHKs, commissioners, the town’s Chamber of Trade and shipping companies.

The original scheme was dropped in 2001 amid concerns over its potential economic viability.

Commissioners’ chairman, Mary Bruce (pictured), believes Ramsey has stagnated as a result of missing out first time around.
