by isleofman.com 15th May 2007
Among the other items on the Tynwald agenda, Tynwald will be asked to approve a ?3.6 million overspend on various schemes during the last financial year – including ?1.1 million on the incinerator and ?580,000 on the refurbishment of government offices.

There’ll also be a bid to spend ?825,000 to re-develop a ward at the former Noble’s Hospital to provide podiatry and dental clinics and a further half million pounds on a new cruise ship tender pontoon berth in Douglas Harbour.

In addition, Onchan MHK Peter Karran has tabled a motion asking the Department of Trade and Industry to look at the viability of setting up a patent office and venture capital system in the Island.
