Hawk jet concerns

The Celtic League has written to the Ministry of Defence again over their concerns about the continued use of Hawk trainer jet aircraft.

The pressure group has been worried about the plane's safety record for some time, and their worries have been highlighted recently following an incident at Ronaldsway on the 9th of May when an RAF Hawk had to make an unscheduled landing due to technical problems.

Bernard Moffatt says this was just ten days after a very serious accident at an RAF base in Anglesey and reinforces their view that the plane is well past its sell-by date:
