Public meeting ahead of Peel Bay Festival

by isleofman.com 12th May 2007
The Peel Bay Festival will be one of the biggest events ever held in the town - and hopes are high it will be a big hit with thousands of visitors during TT.

But there are concerns among some Peel residents about the impact it will have on them - from potential parking problems to noise levels during concerts.

So to help allay any fears, a meeting's been organised next week for local people to raise their concerns with the powers-that-be.

On hand to answer questions will be the festival organisers, police, fire and rescue and the Department of Transport.

Chairman of Peel Commissioners Pat Sweeney says the local community should be heard - as nothing like this has been held in Peel before (audio file attached):

The meeting is open to all and takes place at the Centenary Centre at 7.30pm on Wednesday.
