Onchan incident, no need for alarm

Police in Onchan say people out late in the village this weekend should not be unduly alarmed, following an incident involving a young woman late on Thursday night.

Detectives are following up various leads - they want to hear from anyone who saw a woman in an upset or dishevelled state in the St Catherine's Terrace area behind the Manx Arms pub after closing time time on Thursday.

Detective Inspector Kevin Wilson says although the matter remains unresolved, he does not think the public has any cause for concern:
