Radio boss Juan Turner will be the sole contender in the eighth round of voting to fill the vacant seat on the Legislative Council.
Nominations closed at five o’clock this evening (Friday).
Mr Turner, who polled 11 votes in Tuesday’s seventh round, had already confirmed he would allow his name to go forward.
The successful candidate will serve until February the 29th next year.
The election takes place on May the 22nd.
