Onchan 'assault' update

by isleofman.com 11th May 2007
Detectives in Onchan are thanking members of the public for their response to an appeal earlier, to reports of a serious incident late last night.

Police began investigating a possible sexual assault, but officers now say that appears not to be the case.

However, they are continuing inquiries into an incident in St Catherine's Lane in Onchan at about eleven o'clock last night.

Anyone who saw a young woman in a distressed state at that time, is asked to contact local police.

Meanwhile, three people who were being questioned in connection with the incident have now been released.
