Jailed for breaching probation

by isleofman.com 11th May 2007
A man has been jailed for three months after breaching a probation order imposed last month.

32 year old Barry John McAndry of Empress Drive in Douglas admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour in Shoprite in Ramsey on April the 27th.

The defendant went to the store to speak to his ex-girlfriend, Dawn Farmer. He was told to leave by the manager, but started to swear at him and was arrested shortly after leaving.

High Bailiff Michael Moyle told McAndry he had been warned probation was a direct alternative to a three month jail term, which was imposed for an assault on Farmer.
