Chief Minister gives power back to Executive

by isleofman.com 22nd May 2007
Ministers are to be encouraged to set strategy for their Departments and not be led by those Departments.

Speaking to the Chamber of Commerce luncheon, Chief Minister Tony Brown has said, in the past it had often been the case of the Executive having to react to Departmental initiatives.

With the last of four 'Council of Minister workshops' to be held later this week, the aim will be to produce a five year strategy document. That will be discussed by Government and Tynwald and then published.
