Lifeline to hotel school students

A lifeline to students of the International Hotel School may only be available to 60 of them, says the dean of a London college.

Dililp Amdekar of Khalsa College says students who want to continue their hotel management courses can transfer to his facility in the UK – a charitable institution backed by wealthy Indian businessmen.

The news came as a ray of hope to the students left stranded after the hotel school collapsed.

They’ve been told to find other education courses or leave the country in the next few weeks.

Mr Amdekar says there aren’t enough placements available for all affected students:
