DAFF seeking producers and retailers

The Department of Agrilculture, Fisheries and Forestry is looking for people to join a steering group, tasked with developing the seafood branding strategy.

It's hoped Manx producers and retailers will join the group, which will finalise plans to create a quality assured brand.

Minister Phil Gawne (pictured) says the idea came about after a visit from the Seafood Cornwall.

He says staff have learned a lot from the Cornish idea of having the whole industry working together (audio file attached):
