'Grand plan' for TT emergency services

It's 22 days and counting before this year's TT.

And the emergency services are in the final stages of completing their grand plan for dealing with serious incidents which might occur.

They've had to imagine a wide range of potential scenarios - and ensure they have an action plan to deal with each of them.

Chief Inspector Carolyn Kinrade is responsible for the police planning.

She says finding extra manpower to cope with the huge crowds has been a key task: (first audio clip)

Staff at the Highways Department have also been putting in long hours - organising road closures, traffic plans and re-scheduling road works.

Lower Douglas - and of course the Prom - will be major 'pinch points' .
