OFT warns rogue traders

Unscrupulous TT traders are being warned to be on their guard.

That is the message from the Office of Fair Trading, which is stepping up its targeting of traders who could be thinking of taking advantage of the large number of visitors expected in the Island for the centenary festival.

The office has identified a number of areas including prices, age-restricted sales and counterfeiting.

Trading standards officer, John Peet, says it’s imperative to protect both local business and visiting consumers:
