Manx baked bread 'desirable'

The current Isle of Man's current set up with regard to the production of local bread has been described as 'desirable'.

The comment was made by Andrew Whitley, who is chairman of the Soil Association's Standards Committee and was invited to look at the bread making industry on the Island by the Manx Organic Network.

Mr Whitley says whilst he's aware that there has been recent debate about whether it was good for the Island to have just one supplier, the 'one miller, one baker' situation which exists here is something which many countries would wish to emulate:
