Police investigate Ramsey accident

Police are investigating after an accident in Ramsey yesterday (Saturday) left an 88 year-old woman in hospital.

The pedestrian from Union Mills sustained injuries when she was in collision with a Mitsubishi pickup truck driven by a man from Maughold.

Police officers closed the road for an hour and a half as they dealt with the incident, which happened at 11.30am at the junction of Christian Street and Albert Road.

The woman was taken to Nobles Hospital. The driver of the vehicle was uninjured.

Anybody who saw the incident has been asked to contact police on 631212.
