Veterans Day preparations progressing

The Island is preparing to commemorate the contribution made by those who've served in the armed forces.

Veteran’s Day is being marked throughout the British Isles on June the 24th.

Events in the Island are being organised by a committee comprising representatives of the various service associations.

Consultant for the UK celebrations, Julian Mineur, believes many people don’t realise they are veterans (audio file attached):
