Attempted theft

Police are looking for witnesses to an attempted theft.

It happened at the Star Fast Food outlet on Marina Road in Douglas at around 12:50 this morning (Fri)

A man who had bought some food returned to the shop and took money which had been given as tips from the counter. The man was chased towards Chester Street car park by a member of staff where the tin was found with the cash still in it.

Anyone with information is asked to ring police headquarters on 631 212.
