New hope for EMI unit

There is fresh hope an Elderly Mentally Infirm (EMI) unit could be built on land in Farmhill.

The unit was due to be constructed alongside 21 homes by developer Heritage Homes but, due to a lack of DHSS funding, plans were temporarily shelved.

However, instead of building a further 13 homes on the site, the developer has agreed to keep clear the area designated for the unit, should the DHSS be able to make the funds available.
