Tywald Mills wheel restoration

An important part of the Isle of Man's heritage is to be restored.

The two hundred year old wooden water wheel situated in Tynwald Mills has been out of operation for over 50 years.

Once completed it will function as both an educational attraction and a reminder of the way things were.

The veterans currently carrying out the repairs, Stan Kewley and Eric Wilkins spoke about why they were the ideal men for the job:
