The funeral of Kingsman Adam Smith, the Manx born soldier killed by a roadside bomb in Iraq, will be held today.
The 19-year-old who was brought up in Liverpool served with the 2nd Battalion The Duke of Lancaster's Regiment.
He was killed when a bomb struck his Warrior armoured vehicle on April 5th. Three other soldiers and a Kuwaiti interpreter also lost their lives.
His funeral, with full military honours, will take place at All Saint's Church in Broadgreen, Liverpool, this afternoon (Thurs).
Kingsman Smith was an Everton fan and after the funeral his coffin will be taken by hearse past the club's home ground Goodison Park.
